seated-yoga-pose

There is so much going on in each stretch pose and the tiniest physical adjustments can make all the difference to the stretch.

For me, it’s all about having a play with the pose, by moving in slightly different directions to see how the stretch sensation changes so that it really feels like I’m getting the most length into the muscles targeted in that posture.

Then I try to relax … really relax into the pose and focus on my breathing.

The breath is the voice to the muscles, soft, deep and even breaths encourages the muscle to relax and stretch even further.

And the final touch is focus .. simply focus on the sensations in your body, and nothing more, try and switch off from everything else other than the stretch, and with this focus comes a lovely calmness to the body and mind.

Fancy playing with a few poses? Try out the videos below and I hope it helps you get deeper into those Glutes and Hip.
